Information about Early Access

Please read this carefully to align expectations.

FrontierWings is already playable, but early access means you are joining while the platform is still maturing.

Before you register, it is important to understand what early access means here: you get the real live product, but some parts are still rough, some systems are intentionally limited, and the long-term vision is bigger than what is available today.

FrontierWings is built by a solo developer alongside a full-time job and family responsibilities, so issue responses and fixes are not immediate and should not be expected within the hour; as the platform grows, more time can go into improving it and responding to support inquiries.

What early access means

  • early access gives you access to the live platform as it improves
  • the core bush pilot loop is already there, but likely needs some more balancing and polish
  • some features are intentionally narrow in Early Access so the flying loop stays focused
  • roadmap items are direction, not promises or guaranteed delivery dates
  • early access members help shape priorities through real usage and feedback
  • even though FrontierWings is currently in early access, all pilot data will seamlessly carry over into the full release — so anything you achieve now will remain part of your permanent flight history

Current limitations

  • FrontierWings currently supports Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 only
  • the dedicated mission-tracking client is currently a Windows 10/11 desktop app
  • it is unlikely that XBOX or PS5 will be supported in the future
  • the platform is focused on the bush pilot loop of taking on missions and collecting rewards, not a full airline or economy simulation
  • content depth, mission variety, and supporting systems will continue to grow over time
  • expect ongoing iteration on user experience, validation rules, rewards and presentation

What is included right now

  • unlimited missions to fly all over the world
  • career progression based on skill and effort
  • leaderboards for all kinds of statistics
  • monthly and special awards and milestones to chase
  • support for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • a dedicated Windows 10/11 client for mission tracking and upload

Early access pricing

  • the current early access price is EUR 6.99 per month
  • that support helps fund development, infrastructure, and the Windows tracking client
  • early access payments are non-refundable once access has been granted
  • please only sign up if you are comfortable joining a product that is still evolving

Roadmap direction

The early access phase is expected to last between 6 months and a year.

These are the kinds of improvements planned while the platform keeps maturing. They are roadmap ideas, not fixed promises. And, of course, the end of early access will not mean that the platform stops evolving.

More career depth

  • more mission variety and more specialized contract types
  • more awards, achievement tiers, and pilot milestones
  • richer career history and better public pilot pages

Bush flying companies

  • player-run bush companies with members and shared identity
  • group goals, seasonal challenges, company recognition and leaderboards
  • simple social features that stay focused on flying instead of management busywork

Wider platform support

  • support for additional simulators in the future (I'd love to support X-Plane)
  • broader operating system support beyond the first Windows client release

General improvements

  • smoother onboarding for new pilots
  • improved mission briefings, weather context, and route guidance
  • possibly integration with external tools and ATC systems (e.g. SimBrief)
  • continued improvements to reliability, validation quality, and telemetry recording
